Christmas Eve!

I am a little behind in my blog, but I just want to say that we had a wonderful Christmas! We did a lot of wonderful things together as a family during the month of December 2010, but one thing that I will remember is preparing and taking a basket to a family in need in our neighborhood the day before Christmas Eve. That was something our family will remember forever I think. It is such a good feeling to give something to people who really need it!

Here are our kids on Christmas Eve. They are so excited for Christmas they can hardly stand it! They had a wonderful Christmas. Mike and I had so much fun watching them and enjoying the day together. Merry Christmas!

Findley Family Fun!

The day after Christmas we went up to see the Findleys in Brigham City for a few days. We were all excited to see everyone. Our kids had a great time playing with their cousins! It was fun to get our family picture taken too since everyone was there. We had a wonderful time with everyone and it was good to see Grandma and Grandpa Cutler too!

I think one of the highlights of our Christmas morning was when Spencer got a hold of the peppermint sticks without any of us knowing! He had a lot of fun eating them as you can see. Needless to say, once I found him like that and took his picture, he was in the bathtub real fast!!!

Before..."Look Mom - NO HANDS!" OH MY! :)

Our Gingerbread Train!

After the Ward Christmas Party we came home and made our Gingerbread Train together! It was so much fun decorating it and doing it together. We had a good time and the kids enjoyed every minute of it!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

We had a wonderful time during the Thanksgiving Holiday this year! We went up to Brigham City to spend time with Mike's parents and family. We were able to see Mike's grandparents who have been in the hospital recently. We were so grateful to be able to see them and know that they are doing as well as they can be doing. We had a wonderful thanksgiving meal with Mike's extended family at his grandparent's house. We were also able to see Scott and Emily and their family while we were there. We are counting our blessings for wonderful Grandparents and Family who are such good examples to us. :)

Here are Grandma and Grandpa Cutler at Thanksgiving!

Our kids loved seeing their cousins at Thanksgiving too! :)

Here is Mike - relaxing after the delicious meal! :)

Happy 12th Anniversary!

Mike and I celebrated our 12th anniversary one month ago today on November 20, 2010! We had a great time together! After we got our family picture taken, we went to look for a car for Mike, but that was not very successful. Then we went out to dinner and afterwards we did a little Christmas shopping together. It was nice to spend the day together while my mom watched our kids for us. Once again we are counting our blessings for each other and for my mom who helped us out that day!

Daddy/Daughter Date!

Andrea had an activity for Activity Day's scheduled on November 16th a day when her Dad was going to be out of town. So Andrea called up her Grandpa Findley and he was very happy to come down and go to the Daddy/Daughter Date with her. Andrea was so excited that he was going to come all the way from Brigham City to go to this activity with her. She had so much fun with him. They danced together, ate refreshments and Andrea even got a few awards for the goals she has accomplished. We are so proud of all that Andrea has done with Activity Days. Here is Andrea with her Grandpa the night of the Activity! :) We also count our blessings for wonderful Grandparents/Parents who help and support us!

COUNT YOUR MANY BLESSINGS!!!

November was filled with moments when we counted our many blessings. I am a little behind in writing in our blog and so I will post a little bit about what happened in November. On November 5th Mike called me at about 3:30 on his way home from work, (and also the day his parents and grandparents were coming to see us after we hadn't seen them for a while) and he told me he was in a car accident! That is news I have dreaded hearing since the day Mike and I started dating!!! He told me he was OK and that he would let me know what happened later. So he called me back and told me to come and pick him up. He didn't have a car it was not drivable. After we got home his parents and grandparents came to see us on their way home from St. George.

What had happened in the accident was not Mike's fault. He was stopped at the stop light just by the Chevron on Highway 6. He was so close to home and a lady was driving off the exit and driving onto Highway 6 and she hit the right hand tire of his car. He was pushed into the intersection and she flew around his car out in front of him. The very good news was that Mike was ok. He hurt a little from the impact, but we are all so grateful and very happy he was ok! :) Unfortunately, to make a long story short, Mike's car ended up being totaled they could not fix it. So we ended up getting a new car about one month after Mike was in his accident on December 4th. We have just been counting our blessings that Mike is still with us and we can all celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas together!

"Extended Family" Christmas Parties!

The next day on December 18, 2010 we had the Lancaster "Extended Family" Christmas Party at my Mom and Dad's house. It was a fun party and it is always fun to see our extended family! The kids acted out the nativity with my brother Scott reciting it from the scriptures. We had a fun time together!

After the Lancaster Christmas Party that same day December 18th, we went to my Grandma and Grandpa Hulet's house to have the Hulet "Extended Family" Christmas Party! We had a fun time seeing everyone there too! We sang songs, had refreshments, and the kids acted out the nativity again for everyone there! We had a good time and then headed home so we could go to church in the morning at our ward in Spanish Fork. :)

The Hulet Family Christmas Party!

On December 17, 2010 we had our Hulet Family Party at my Mom and Dad's house. It was barely finished in time for the party. They have been fixing their house up since it was flooded during the summer time. We had a lot of fun at the party, but the most exciting part for our kids was that Santa came! They loved the presents he gave them, but I think their favorite present was the pillow pets Grandma Marilyn gave all of them!

SANTA!

On December 11, 2010 we went to our Ward Christmas Party. It was so much fun! Andrea and David sat on Santa's lap, but Josh and Spencer were a little scared of him. We had a good time other than Mike left on a trip the morning of the Ward Christmas Party so he wasn't able to be with us the whole time.

The Ward Christmas Party was also a pajama party so that is why Andrea, Josh and Spencer are in their pajamas! We had a good time!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Today was Halloween, but it was Sunday so we celebrated Halloween pretty much all last week! Our kids had a Halloween parade and parties at school. Andrea and David were in the parade at their school, and Josh had a Halloween party at preschool. We had a Halloween Party with our Ward on Friday night and last night the kids went Trick-or-Treating with Mike.

Andrea was an Orange Princess - from a book she has read. She loves reading princess books and she decided that is what she wanted to be. Grandma Marilyn made her dress and Andrea was very excited to wear it for Halloween.

David was a Pirate! We went to Disneyland in May and David was so excited about Pirates when we were there. He got a bunch of Pirate stuff while we were there so that made his costume a bit easier. However I ended up making his vest. I haven't sewed clothes for a long time, but I managed to get it done. David was very excited to be a pirate for Halloween!

Josh really wanted to be Winnie the Pooh for Halloween. So that is what he was. He is such a sweet little boy and the costume fit him just right. He had a fun time being Winnie the Pooh especially since his brother Spencer was Tigger! When Spencer went trick or treating with Mike, Andrea, David and Josh around our neighborhood he was Tigger so he could stay warm! :)

Spencer had a fun time being Tigger and Thomas the Train! Spencer was Thomas the train at our Ward party and Mike and I dressed up as Super Man and Super Woman. Except Mike wore a sweater over his shirt the whole time at the party. He obviously didn't want to dress up. Oh well - I tried... :)

Anyway, we had a great time over the past few days, but are excited for the other holidays that are coming up too! :)

Happy Birthday Andrea!

I can't believe Andrea is 10 years old now!!! Her birthday was one week ago today on October 13, 2010 and she turned 10 years old! Andrea had a great day and it began with a pancake breakfast her dad made her! He even made the number 10 for her! Wow what a dad!

Andrea wanted to have a late night American Girl Doll pajama birthday party with her friends. So that is what we did. It was Fall Break for the kids at school the next two days after her birthday so it worked out great. Andrea and her friends had a great time at the party eating pizza, watching a movie in their pajamas and just having a good time together until 9:00 p.m.! Andrea was very happy with everything she got for her birthday - especially her zhu zhu pet stuff. She had a good time! We love you Andrea!

Pumpkin Contest!

David had a pumpkin contest in his 2nd grade class. He won the award for the tiniest eyes and nose! He decorated his pumpkin so well and did a great job!
