Happy Easter!

We had a fun Easter this year on April 24, 2011. The day before Easter our kids colored the Easter eggs. They love doing that and had a great time!

On Easter our kids had a great time finding their Easter baskets and all the eggs that were hidden! They love seeing what the Easter Bunny leaves them each year. Spencer is 2 years old and it was fun to watch him find the eggs because he would get so excited every time he found an egg or his basket! :)

  

After we had a fun morning with all of the Easter baskets etc. we went to church and then after church we went to my parent's house in Sandy to have dinner with my parents and grandparents. It was fun to see all of them and spend some time with them. I made deviled eggs to eat with our meal! They were delicious!   

"East Meadows Idol!"

Andrea is in 4th grade at East Meadows Elementary and her music class had a "talent show" called "East Meadows Idol." On April 21, 2011 Andrea sang Phantom of the Opera and played Rain Dance on the piano for her talents. She did such a good job. I went to watch her perform and then after I left her class voted for the winners. Andrea came home from school and told us that she won 2nd place! Her prize was a 100 Grand candy bar. She did such a wonderful job! We are so proud of her. :)

Our Trip to Midway...

On April 8 - 9 we surprised our kids with a quick trip to Midway. We stayed in our condos up there - thanks to Scott Findley. He called us up about two days before and asked us if we would like to use the nights they booked for themselves, but they couldn't use them. We had a great trip and were able to swim in the indoor swimming pool. Yes it was very cold there in Midway, but it was nice to have an indoor swimming pool to enjoy and start a great week of Spring Break with our kids! We love them all so much and were so excited to get away for a few days!

Andrea's Surprise!

Well, I am a little behind in our blog, but back in February, Mike and I surprised Andrea with a trip to Las Vegas on February 21st! We woke her up early when we were at my parent's house and put her in the car. She wondered where we were taking her, and after driving for about an hour, she guessed that we were going to Las Vegas to see the play Phantom. That is what we did. We took her to see the real Broadway play of the Phantom of the Opera!


While we were there, we stopped at the M&M store where there are millions of M&M's, toys, things etc. with the M&M logo on them. Andrea loved looking at that store! It was fun to see some of the amazing things there in Las Vegas!

Andrea loves the Phantom Music and was very happy and excited to go see the play especially without her brothers...she loves them, but was happy to have a break from them too! :) It was also fun for Mike and I to spend time with Andrea. She is such a sweet girl and we love her so much! :)

Our Backyard...

Here is our backyard. We have been getting it done the past few weeks. We got trees, new sod, rocks and a fence put in this year! We are so excited to have a place for our kids to play!

Trip to Chicago!

Mike and I went to Chicago together over General Conference Weekend: March 31 - April 3, 2011. Mike had a conference there and he surprised me by taking me too! We had a great time together seeing the Planetarium and other sites around Chicago. It was also fun to see some of our friends there in Chicago too. :) Mike and I had a great trip and it was fun to get away for a few days!

Pirate Island!

Joshua has been doing a great job at reading the books "Dick and Jane." He finished two big books full of their stories. So we took our kids to Pirate Island and they had a great time! We love spending time with our kids and were happy that we could reward Josh for such a great accomplishment!
